My name’s Caroline but I’ve been known as Caz for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Surrey where I spent the first 19 years of my life before attending Portsmouth University to study Design for Interactive Media. I enjoyed the course thoroughly and used the skills I learnt in a Digital Marketing career for five years. After a while though, I felt something was missing. I began volunteering in a primary school helping children with their work, but something in particular captured my interests. I was amazed at how children as young as eight were able to write detailed and exciting stories, so I decided to give it a go myself.
In my spare time I wrote as often as I could, sometimes about my day to day life, but other times experimenting with fiction, particularly aimed at the younger audience. As someone in their twenties I’m not ashamed to admit I have a love for YA fiction. I’ve found writing to be extremely enjoyable, though most of what I’ve written I’ve kept held tightly under lock and key, but I’m determined to overcome my fear of rejection, take on criticism, because at the end of the day, how can you improve your work without the critique?
Writing has become a source of enjoyment, one of which I will continue to improve upon, and I shall use this blog as a way of sharing my creations.
